Well, I see this is an EXTREMELY popular area of the forum!
Hi, I'm Barb (luma).
I've been married twice, divorced twice, and I'm still extremely optimistic about love. Marriage I don't know about.
One thing I do know for sure, is that basic beliefs and principles being at least similar for the people in a relationship is SUPER important.
I don't believe in violence as a solution to anything.
I think we create our lives by our thoughts, beliefs, and actions.
I no longer have a victim mentality, though it has taken a lifetime to get to this point.
I finally am comfortable in my own skin, and I am OK with being alone for awhile. But I do miss the little daily niceties of a committed relationship, like morning kisses and hugs, love notes. I'm looking fprward to having someone to share life with, but meanwhile, I'm enjoying building a life of my own.
I have 3 grown children and 7 grandsons.
My spiritual journey has taken me from Catholicism to Lutheranism to Wicca, to a very eclectic, New Agey belief system.
