Being spiritual is different than being religious To me religion is a denomination but being spiritual is truly having a personal relationship with God on all levels. To me it doesn't mean to constantly spout Bible verses but to know the Bible and have it in your heart to share what it gives you with others and what the meaning of those things in the Bible are. Once you have shared your belief you can back it up with facts by showing others where it says what you shared from the Bible...book,chapter and verse. It means living a christian life and showing christian love. It is being respectful and having a relationship with God not a matter of just rules given by a denominational church. Being Spiritual is having a relationship with God not being governed with rules. If you have the relationship you will follow what God says is right and wrong (those things that often thought of as rules) they become a way of life you choose not rules to be followed because they are written in the Bible or stated as wrong or right by a church.
I would like to find an individual to be a part of my life who wants first a relationship with God (spiritual)rather than just a person who believes in the Bible and attends a church. There is much more to being a christian than just attending a church and believing the Bible...there is a deeper spiritual part...a relationship with God. It is a relationship not just rules.
