Pineal Gland, Melatonin, and Melanin? I would like to explore how one's ability to synthesize vitamin D from the sun improves the functionality of the pineal gland. Melanin is the animal equivalent of Chlorophyl, a lot of people do not know or want to believe that the strength of our melanin is what feeds the pineal gland the nutrients it needs to dictate sleep-wake cycles along with other functions. Our pineal gland is like a pine cone inside our brains, it grows off of the light energy that we feed it. Several advanced civilizations were sun worshippers, which is why they travelled across the oceans to follow the direction of the sun.
