My views on religion So I have been reading alot lately of different religions, and have come to the conclusion that religion of any kind is not for me. That fact makes me an atheist which I guess is in fact a religion but a conundrum in itself. My major problem with religion was best worded by chris rock in dogma."mankind took a good idea and destroyed it by turning it into a belief." This is the very problem with every major religion out there...that attitude about being better than someone because you believe in god or Buddha or allah or whoever. Christians preach of forgiveness and understanding in church... but how obtuse is their view and closed are their minds! Muslims have perverted their faith into a reason to kill, and just about every other religion has twisted the core IDEA that their belief started on. I know that there are good people in all religions, but more and more people teach their children the twisted message and not the clear one... and eventually when you dilute it enough the message will disappear. If not for religion there would not have been a crusade, the dark ages would have been different, and the celts would not have been slaughtered too name just a few tragedies. So in short.. next time you start thinking about how you wish everyone believed the same religion... it is possible, but only if no one believes in religion.
